REVIEW CHART

Okay folks, please read, before jumping to the chart.

PLEASE REVIEW THE CHART BEFORE YOU REQUEST MS.

We follow Amazon's guidelines for reviews.  The idea behind this group is authors helping authors.  Unfortunately, we've had a few issues lately.  So please review the how to write a review and the stars system. The idea is fair reviews, that all follow the same system, so that everyone gets the same rating system used on their review.

Amazon rates things like this:

ONE Star     I HATED IT  (you need to say why you did, and since this is mixed genre read as a reader of the genre and consider if readers of the genre would hate it)

TWO Stars      I DIDN'T LIKE IT (you need to say why you didn't, and since this is mixed genre read as a reader of the genre and consider if readers of the genre would not like it, read other reviews to see what other readers of the genre think)

THREE Stars          IT'S OKAY (You liked the book, but nothing about it would be memorable, and you may or may not read another book by this author, if you would recomend this book to others, and readers of the genre, consider it may be a four star)

FOUR Stars          I LIKED IT (You liked the book a lot, but something about it didn't work for you and you would read another book by this author, if you would recommend this book to others, and to readers of the genre consider it may be a five star, ESP if that little thing was just a small issue that non authors wouldn't even have noticed, IE a reasonable amount of typos and such)

FIVE Stars        I LOVED IT (You loved the book and you want to beg the author for another one of their books right now, or/and you know readers of the genre will be looking for books by this author.  You'd answer the question: Hey, do you know a good book to read with a yes and tell them about this book.  If the book kept you up reading, it's a page turner you didn't want to stop reading, it's five folks)

Please put your rounds as you complete them, with links to the reviews in the right threads.

And remember our policy, don't send reviews to authors for pre screening.  If the review is less than two stars, ask the author if they want it posted, and let me know as well.  Post reviews 3 stars and up on Amazon, Goodreads and other places as arranged between you and the author.

Remember-- treat other authors as you would like to be treated, if the review you write would make you groan out loud, rewrite it.  This is not to say it must be three stars or above, but it must follow our standards and be a complete review. see the how to write a good review document.  Not sure how to write a good one, even a good three or below, email me, I've been doing this 30 plus years.

Potential issues with the chart: Carmen is scheduled to review me, but I reviewed her book in the last group.

I'm scheduled to review RobRoy, but I only see one book of his on Amazon, which I have already reviewed. Do you have other books, Rob?

all right, I will need to make some changes, Rob has just the one book.

I reviewed RD Clark's Lycanthrope back in the Yahoo days. But other than that I don't see any problems.

So what happens now?  Do I email those I have to read/review for copies?  My first time on this site, please have patience  

No problem, LOL, it's been a weekend for me, whew.

Yes, everyone please get in touch with those you review, and those who review you to get their books. Let them know what kind of file you want. Once you receive the file post under the round for that book and let me know you got the book. This way we can catch problems with getting emails or files out.

Then post once you have finished the book and the links to the reviews under that thread.

I received Carol's copy of her book, for Round one. I sent messages to all the authors I have to review but the others haven't replied yet.

I asked Marci for a mobi file of Shadows of the Past as I have only a PDF. So Rob Roy must wait until I receive it, or he must read the PDF.

RobRoy reviewed Lycanthrope for me in the last group, so I probably shouldn't be reviewing his book. I have (when it first came out) reviewed Cassandra's Beautiful Girl, but not her other book, so I could review it.

Hi all,
How was the first round for everyone? I couldn't believe the deadline came so quickly. A bad illness had be scrambling to get Elisabeth's done and posted. But I'm all done and asked Molly to send me hers for round two.
